Our springs are located in the splendid natural setting of the Friulan plain, in a small village called
Paradiso (province of Udine, Italy). Here you will find VILLA CARATTI, which dates back to the 1600s and is surrounded by beautiful parkland - again confirming the natural vocation of the region. The PARADISO estate covers an area of about 220 hectares - from the municipality of Pocenia to Castions di Strada.
Studies revealed that 30 meters down our region has a sandy-clay soil where the first artesian stratum with an upstream capacity of 0.3 - 0.5 atmospheres is found.
The stratum was formed during the ice age by the turbid currents of the Tilavertino glacier and then transformed by erosion. The mainly gravel material left behind created the ideal conditions for the natural production of extremely pure and well-balanced water.
After millions of years of transformation the subsequent stratum consist of a purely clay-based material resting on a gravel bed 36 meters deep under which is another large clay layer.
The hydro-geological water basin has excellent levels of permeability and features small channels called multi-stratums that create the ideal conditions for water formation.
Most of the region's underground water derives directly from the notable mountain rainfall levels and indirectly from river losses.
